![]() After all, the same thing happened to famous 3dfx Voodoo cards, which are now becoming seriously expensive & almost impossible to find for reasonable price. But they /are/ slowly disappearing however, and sooner or later they will become harder to find. Even Live! series is somewhat generic, because of the amount of cards still available on the market today. I also got loads of other, more generic cards such as SB 128, the one you mentioned yourself & SB clones, but I didn't think anyone would be interested in hearing about those. ![]() We are talking old Intel 486, DX2 era (AWE32), Pentium 166 (AWE64), Pentium II (Aureal Vortex) & Pentium III (Creative SB Live). In fact, all of the sound cards from my 1st post are installed (and used) inside old-school gaming systems. ![]() Thank you! Yes, I'm glad you mentioned all of the models, even the ones I haven't specifically mentionedĪgain, I can understand (and relate) to not using sound card for modern applications. Obviously, I can't tell which card(s) you have, in your collection but please - if you DO find something at least give them away to someone who's into retro technology & wants to keep them You wouldn't believe what I had to do (and/or how much I had to pay) for some of these older cards such as Aureal, 3dfx Voodoo & similar. You do realize that some of those older soundblaster cards are worth quite a lot of money nowdays? Not only because they are rare, but also because they are hard to find.
